The Newberry Library Bookstore
In 1995, the Seminary Co-op was approached by members about the possibility of opening a new location. Fred Hoxie and Jim Grossman, administrators at the Newberry Library, recommended the Co-op for the job of renovating and assuming the space of the A. C. McClurg Bookstore in the Newberry's lobby.

The result was a lovely little neighborhood store, built by a community of independently owned and operated businesses, specializing in the history of Chicago, the Midwest, and Native American studies, and having one of the best card and gift selections in the city.
